After so many delays, Persona 3 comes out today *JOY* Gonna go out after work and buy it, 'cause I need it like I need a life. Persona 2 remains one of my very favourites to this day, and I was so excited when they announced number 3.
I got my PAX stuff in the mail yesterday, so I am all set for the con. I was slightly worried that my stuff might arrive AFTER I left for Seattle, but my fears have been abated.
This is quite possibly the greatest thing in the universe. Ever. |

Had a wonderful day yersterday with ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) sikona, Lee and Diz in Chinatown. Hope you hads a good birthday Kona!
We went to Fluevogs on Queen, and I bought some awesome shoes that I had been drooling over on their website, and they were on sale. Win for me. We also got a bunch of movies (Including the hilarious looking "Everything Sinks except Japan") that I can't wait to watch. If onlyit hadn't been so damned hot out.
Today I have undertaken the great challenge of cleaning out my room, which leads to the higher task or rearranging my apartment before September. I need to make space to accomadate my hedgehog before it arrives ^^ Baby Hog ETA mid-Sept, according to the breeder XD |

Oh LJ ... sometimes, you really make me wonder.
I have been avoiding LJ for the last little while in order to keep myself spoiler free for Deathly Hallows (I had major things from OotP and HBP spoiled for me here), and am just now catching up on all this drama now that I've finished the book. For the sake of my own sanity I am choosing to remain outside of this issue, though I don't believe I will renew my paid journal when it expires in December.
The thing that irks me the most about the whole debacle is the rampant inconsistencies in LJ/6A's TOS enforcement. They can randomly strike down some fanartists for pictures that were, honestly, no worse than anything else I've seen on LJ, and still defend such things as the pro-anaorexia communities. I spent a good deal of time reading through some of these comms from the links viewpoints had up, and it disgusts me. *sigh* I wonder when LJ turned from a place where fandoms could come together and share to a place where we are no longer welcome.
And for now, that is all I have to say about it :3
In awesome news, only 11 days until I go to Seattle, and 14 days until PAX. EXCITING. Once again something has prevented me from attending CNA - I have yet to attend that con in my life - but I think PAX will be an entirely different con experience then I am used to. Sadly, cosplay seems to be shunned - reserved for those "scary anime people" - and I am not really bold enough to do it in the face of opposition.
And speaking of cosplay, I had lots of fun at the cosplay picnic on Saturday. It was awesome to see everyone, dispite the fact that I was too lazy/hot to actually wear a costume. |

Finished Wild ARMS 4 yesterday (Thank you Elise XD), and it was all right. Not bad, but not great. Starting in on Altercode F next, which I am looking forward too as the original was one of my favourite PS1 RPGs. Also picked up Digital Devil Saga 1 & 2 last week, so I will dig into those afterwards.

Dollmore order sent in this evening. They really need to do something about their ordering page, I had to fight with it all day to get everything onto the order page. Totals will go out tomorrow, I'm tired of doing it tonight.
Was my Dad's birthday today <3 Went to his house and had a lovely dinner. I didn't know what to get him, so I just got a Bestbuy gift card. That went over very well, so I am pleased. |

Curse you Chiblet, and your wonderful story telling. My brain is sad now, I relive trauma too easily.
Yeah, so I am a slow, sad panda, and am just now posting almost two weeks after AN. The short version of events was : cat ruined costume, but fun was had regardless. It was actually a fairly relaxing con, an experience different than previous years. Lots of good swag obtained, I am pleased.

Mental checklist, so I know what I've done.
Hotel has successfully been extended to Thursday night so we don't have to worry about that anymore, credit card changed to mine. Sent out a mass e-mail to prereg group to see if they'd like me to just pick them all up Thursday night.
Need to find appropriate boots for Cirucci, check PO box to see if Suzume's body is here today, and redo snaps on stupid frustrating dress for Finnegan.
I hope you can come Kona. I will be sad if you can't.
anyotherknight I saw your post in Kona's journal about not being able to come. Don't worry about it, you aren't messing anything up ~ If we can't put someone else in the room then we can just try and bump it down to a 3 person room. We did that last year ^^

Sometimes I curse our world for orbiting a ball of fire. Had a wonderful time at the doll meet at Kariya park yesterday, but I've got a wicked sun burn that's killing me today.
I've come to a very important conclusion. Suzume. Body. Order now. I can't stand him being a head any more, especially with Anime North approaching so quickly. |

Big awesome thanks to everyone at the Turks photo shoot on Saturday, immense fun was had by me. It's always great to get to hang out with people I don't see on a regular basis. And now I will actually have some nice photos of me in a costume - even if said costume was simply a suit I already had in my closet and a cute wig.
Now I have a gauntlet of sewing I have to run by the end of May, which includes the following :
Alice Meet - Finnegan is getting a floofy dress, and I really want to bring Faolen. I need to think of something to make him. Also promised to make a cute little dress for Clover.
Anime North - I have two costumes I want to complete for con. A) Cirruci Thunderwitch (Bleach) and B)Mia Fey (Phoenix Wright). I also want to bring all my dolls, and if I do that I'll want them to be wearing something new.
Theoretically, I can do all this. I have a good solid plan of getting things done, and the costumes are not incredibly difficult, but should be enough of a challenge to be a good learning experience.
Let's hope theory pans out well in real life ~ |

I get this call at about ten to seven this morning (just as I was enjoying a roll around before gettig out of bed and a full hour before I have to go to work) "The computers aren't working, we need you to look at them!" The forms for the Anime North Preregistration group went out in the mail yesterday afternoon! Huzzah, that's a load off of my mind> We ended up with a group of 13 in the end, so thanks to everyone who joined in to make this possible. Next year, I will organize better and sooner.

My Carol head arrived on Monday! JOY! I've never owned a Volks doll before, and I was very impressed with the default make up on her. Nice and soft, very natural looking. I wish my camera wasn't broken so I could take some pictures to convey the true depths of my joy. It's unfortunate, however, that she will not have a body for quite a while. There are other priorities with my doll plans, as she was sort of an opportunity buy.
The PoliceCops are one step closer to existing XD
I will also be getting a sleeping Shushu head sometime next week, courtesy of linzbot, which I will likely mod to have opened eyes. I really fell in love with that mold, and while I don't really have a specific plan for her, I'm sure she will fall into place with the others. SHUSHU is TOO CUTE. |

Spent very little time doing things I should have done today, and instead spent most of it on YTMND and various other stupid internet things.
I did, however accomplish 2 things.
We now have the necessary amount of people to prereg for AN, I just need people's full names and e-mail addresses to complete the form. Also, if people could send me the money pre-emptively (Paypal would be awesome), because have to send them a $400 cheque that would be nifty.
Also, in the interest in deciding on group cosplay, I spent a lot of time today ctaching up on XXXholic. This also lead to some random thoughts and doodling. 'Cause I think it would be fun to make random cute human!Mokona outfits.

Major cosplay narrowed to XXXHolic or Persona 2. I am personally rooting for P2, and I would like to be Tatsuya, Maya, or Ellen. Also planning a brief Arrancar cosplay for a portion of Saturday to join in on the spectacle, likely to be Cirucci Thunderwitch. If I have time. |

Sheenacon 2007 has come and gone, and my only regret was that I didn't finish my cosplay in time. Oh well, there's always next year. Everything was wonderfully organized, the staff were friendly an helpful, and I had a great time. I can't wait to prereg for 2008!
Now, a look ahead to AN. So many things I want to cosplay, none of them anyone else wants to do XD Tommorrow night there will be a sit down discussion on what the group wants to do. I'm thinking to ask my stepmom if she will lend me her van for AN to cart all of our crap to con, as opposed to cramming it all in the Echo.
